This year’s PADI Women’s Dive Day was truly an unforgettable experience, filled with excitement, empowerment, and a lot of fun! A huge congratulations to all the new participants who completed their Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) sessions and refresher courses. We were also proud to do our part for the environment with a successful clean-up dive..
Raffle Draw and Fun Surprises
One of the day’s highlights was the raffle draw, where lucky winners walked away with Free PADI E-Learning courses—what a fantastic way to keep their scuba journey going! The day was packed with laughter and humor, as even our usually manly staff took part in the spirit of the occasion, dressing up for some lighthearted fun. Their efforts were met with plenty of smiles and good-natured laughs from everyone
Exceptional Team and Inspiring Guests
A special shoutout goes to our incredible instructors, Jimmela and Koz, as well as our Dive Master Apprentice, who did an amazing job. Their professionalism and energy were contagious, ensuring all the women were comfortable and had an absolute blast.
We were also honored to have a special guest, Lee Butler, the PADI Regional Manager of the Philippines, join us. Lee shared invaluable insights about the diving industry and the endless opportunities for women to get involved. His words left many inspired and excited for the future.
Celebration and Bonding Over BBQ and Cocktails
After an incredible day of experiencing life underwater for the first time, the participants gathered to enjoy a home-grilled BBQ feast and delicious cocktails. The camaraderie was palpable, and it was heartwarming to see everyone bond over their shared love for the ocean. Several women were so inspired by the day that they’ve already scheduled their Open Water Courses and are ready to embark on their scuba diving journey.
One participant, Mary Queen, shared her thoughts on her first-ever diving experience:
“I had so much fun during Women’s Dive Day. This activity gave me the courage to conquer my fears and be amazed at how wonderful the underwater world is. Just like me, I hope more ladies will be open-minded to try and experience scuba diving, especially with Savedra and Cebu Fun Divers. The instructors are very patient and engaging with their students. I will definitely do it again!”
Mary’s words perfectly capture the spirit of the event, which was all about empowering women to explore the underwater world and overcome their fears. We can’t wait to see her and others return for their next dive adventure!
